comfort to those who are grieving in Babanla Kwara state

A vicious attacks have forced mass displacement in Babanla Kwara state neighbouring southwest Nigeria. In Babanla and nearby communities, over 3,000 residents fled after coordinated raids by Mahmuda fighters who looted, killed, and abducted citizens. This is strange. 

This new armed group —believed to be a splinter of Boko Haram—had launched brutal attacks on rural communities. Residents of villages such as Kemanji, Duruma, Karongi, among others, have experienced:

This turmoil has forced many families to flee in panic—their homes no longer safe, their hearts burdened with trauma and uncertainty.


Why We Should Pray

Need Description
Comfort & Shelter Many are displaced, living in fear or makeshift conditions.
Divine Intervention We pray for Almighty God to restrain the attackers, and for souls to be softened to repentance.
Peace & Healing Emotional and spiritual wounds run deep—healing and restoration are urgently needed.
Protection for Vigilantes & Forces May those defending communities stand strong, wise, and safe.
God’s Sovereignty May His presence overshadow the terror, bringing hope even in darkness.

 

 

We cry out to the Lord for the people of Kwara State affected by the Mahmuda attacks. The Lord know each terrified soul, each broken home, each displaced family. let us pray for them. 

  • comfort to those who are grieving and wandering, that they might find shelter in Your peace.

  • Touch the hearts of those who do evil—may they lay down their weapons and become servants of God's Kingdom.

  • Protect and uphold those defending the communities; grant them safety, courage, and divine help.

  • Let the wings of God healing cover every survivor, restoring their hope as only God can.
