Since 2020, we’ve been praying and trusting God for a car. Our business began to pick up gradually, but with inflation and the rising cost of vehicles, each time we saved some money, it never seemed to be enough. Sometimes, other urgent needs would come up, and we’d have to use the money. We kept praying, hoping that in due time, God would provide.

By 2023, things became more pressing. My wife became pregnant, and the distance from our house to the main road made things even more difficult. The terrain was far and not ideal for someone carrying a baby. One night, she suddenly fell ill, and we weren't sure if we should take her to the hospital immediately. We tried praying, believing she’d get better. But by 8:00 p.m., then 10:00 p.m., she was still not feeling well.

We contacted a neighbor to assist with his motorcycle or bicycle, but due to the curfew in place, he couldn’t help. That night, it hit me hard: What if she goes into labor? Will she have to trek in distress? What if commercial vehicles disappoint?

We prayed again and cried out to God, “Please, Lord, give us a vehicle that can help in moments like this.”

God answered our prayer.

I searched many places in Ibadan for a car. I wanted a solid, fairly used vehicle with a good history. Eventually, we found a Toyota Corolla (2000 model)just 11 days before she delivered.

At that time, I hadn’t learned how to drive well. The mechanic began teaching me. I practiced around the neighborhood but had never driven out to the main road.

Then came March 29. My wife went into labor.

And for the first time, I drove her to the hospital — the very reason we had prayed for a car. It was a miracle.

She delivered safely and within one hour — no cesarean section, no complications. God gave us a healthy baby boy: Oluwadarasimi Erioluwa, meaning "God has been good to me, testimony of God."

When it was time to return home, I drove again — this time, at night, for the first time. Some kind people helped me at the hospital when I struggled to reverse the car. Still, we got home safely.

I see God’s hand in every part of this testimony:

  • He provided a car when we needed it most.
  • He gave us the courage to drive when we had no prior experience.
  • He ensured a safe delivery for my wife and child.
  • He blessed us with double joy: a vehicle and a baby — at the same time.

All glory to God!

🌿 Introduction: A Long-standing Prayer and a Faithful God

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:19

In a world where needs often outweigh means, where inflation can erode savings, and where urgent situations arise unexpectedly, it is easy to feel overwhelmed. Yet, for those who trust in Jesus Christ, we are not without hope. This testimony is about how Christ showed up faithfully, answering our prayers in His perfect time, not only with what we wanted — but exactly when we needed it.

Background: A Prayer Since 2020

For nearly three years, we had one prayer before God:

📌 “Lord, please provide a car for our family.”

We knew that having a vehicle would ease many challenges — especially in emergencies. But:

Year Challenge Faith Response
2022 Little or no income due to business struggles Continued prayer and patience
2023 Prices of cars skyrocketed We trusted God despite delays
2024 Partial savings lost to urgent expenses We didn't give up hope
2025 Wife became pregnant We began to pray more fervently

🛑 The Turning Point: A Pregnant Wife, A Far Road, No Car

It wasn’t until my wife took ill during pregnancy, late at night, and we had no means to transport her, that we realized just how critical our need was.

  • 🚶🏽‍♀️ She couldn’t trek the long, difficult road.
  • 🚫 A neighbor couldn’t help due to curfew restrictions.
  • 🙏🏽 We cried to the Lord:
Lord, when labor comes, will she also have to walk? Please, give us a vehicle we can use — not later, but now.

That prayer, rooted in helplessness but lifted in faith, was the key that unlocked the testimony you're about to read.

🔑 What This Testimony Is About

This is not just a story about getting a car.

This is a testimony of how Jesus Christ:

  • 🕊️ Heard our cry
  • 🚗 Provided a reliable car at the perfect time
  • 👶🏽 Ensured a safe and quick delivery of our baby
  • 🙌🏽 Strengthened our faith and showed us He is never late

"This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles."
Psalms 34:6

✨ Part 1: The Pregnancy and the Challenge

“Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.”
Psalms 55:22

When my wife became pregnant, we rejoiced — but we also became more aware of a silent burden: we still had no car.

At first, it didn’t seem like a big issue. We had managed without a vehicle for years. But pregnancy revealed how much we lacked preparation for emergencies. Our home was far from the main road, and trekking long distances under the sun or rain became increasingly difficult for my wife.

😔 One Night Changed Everything

That night came — the one that pressed us to the wall and exposed our helplessness.

🔹 Time: Around 8:00 p.m.
🔹 Condition: My wife was very sick and weak
🔹 Problem: No way to get to the hospital
🔹 Neighbors: Could not help due to curfew fears
🔹 Distance: Too far to walk, especially in pain

We prayed, waited, and hoped she’d feel better… but her condition did not improve. The pain lingered deep into the night. Still, there was no means of movement, and no safe way to get help.

“Lord, what if this happens during labor? Will she have to walk to the hospital in pain?”

That question broke me. It brought me to the end of myself — and into the beginning of God’s supernatural help.

💡 The Realization

Here’s what God taught us in that moment:

Physical Reality Spiritual Revelation
No car, no access to hospital We had not truly surrendered this burden to Jesus
No one could help due to curfew Only God is our ever-present help in time of trouble
Pregnancy and sickness were progressing quickly It was time to ask specifically and boldly in prayer

So that night, we lifted up a new kind of prayer — not vague, not fearful, but full of faith:

🛐 “Lord Jesus, You know what’s ahead. Provide a car for us before this baby comes. Let it be used for Your glory, for safety, and to preserve life.”

👣 Faith Steps Begin

From that night on, we began to act in faith:

  • We intensified our search for a car, despite limited funds.
  • We prayed daily, not just for a baby, but for safe transportation.
  • We looked at vehicles through the lens of purpose, not luxury.

We weren’t asking God for a car just to drive around. We were asking for a tool for protection, a channel for mercy, a sign of His presence in our family’s journey.

And as you'll see in the next part — He answered beyond what we imagined.

🙏🏽 Part 2: Much Urgent Prayer for a Vehicle

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”
Jeremiah 33:3

After that long night of pain and helplessness, we made up our minds: we must pray like never before. It was no longer just a desire — it became a matter of faith, life, and responsibility.

🗣️ Our Prayer Changed

Before, we used to pray like this:

“Lord, bless us with a car someday.”

But now, our prayer became more focused:

“Lord, we need a vehicle before labor comes. Not just any vehicle — but one fit for this season. Please, show us mercy.”

It was a Hannah-type prayer — not casual, not repetitive, but urgent, emotional, specific, and rooted in purpose.

🚶🏽‍♂️ Faith in Action: The Search Begins

I started moving. Even though our budget was small and I hadn’t fully learned how to drive, I went out daily to check for vehicles in Ibadan.

Here’s what happened:

Action Taken Challenge Faced Spiritual Lesson
Visited multiple car dealers Couldn’t find any reliable car in our price range God was stretching our faith, not denying us
Asked friends for leads Most options had poor condition or bad history God was preparing the right one
Prayed with my wife each evening No visible progress for days Faith means trusting without seeing

There were moments I felt discouraged. Some cars were either:

  • Too expensive
  • Not roadworthy
  • Lacking proper papers
  • Or had a bad mechanical history

But I remembered Romans 8:28:

“All things work together for good to them that love God…”

💥 Breakthrough: The Right Car Appears

Just 11 days before her delivery, we saw it — a Toyota Corolla, 2000 model. It stood out:

  • 💯 Clean engine and working parts
  • 📜 Complete papers
  • 🚗 Solid body and suspension
  • 🛠️ An old friend confirmed it was a good deal

Even though I didn’t know how to drive well, and there were minor things to fix, we took a step of faith and bought the car. It was like buying a miracle.

We named that car “God’s Chariot of Mercy.”
It wasn’t luxury — it was purpose.

🔧 Preparing in Faith

While my wife was preparing for delivery, I was:

  • Practicing how to drive daily within the neighborhood
  • Repairing and fine-tuning the car with my mechanic
  • Praying that I’d be ready to use it on the day of labor

Even though I hadn’t driven it on a public road yet, I was holding on to this:

“Faithful is He who called you, who also will do it.”
1 Thessalonians 5:24

👶🏽 Part 3: The Labor Day Miracle

“Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.”
Isaiah 66:7

The day finally came.
After months of waiting and 11 days after we got the car, my wife went into labor.

There was no panic — only praise.

Why?

Because God had gone ahead of us.

🕒 It Was Time — And Everything Aligned

Unlike that earlier night of sickness when we had no vehicle, this time, we had:

  • ✅ A working car
  • ✅ Fuel in the tank
  • ✅ A mechanic nearby for last-minute support
  • ✅ Enough driving practice — not perfect, but enough
  • Peace in our hearts

The same car that hadn’t touched the public road before…
Became the car that would carry my wife to safety.
And I — the beginner driver — was about to drive it for the first time on a real road.

🚗 First Real Drive — With God on ours side and in the Car

As I helped my wife into the car, I whispered:

“Lord, this is Your doing. Take control.”

I started the engine.
No fear.
No breakdown.
No traffic delays.

God cleared the path.

When we arrived at the hospital, I had successfully driven my wife to where she would deliver — a first for both of us.

👼🏽 Supernatural Speed and Safe Delivery

What happened next still amazes us:

  • ⏱️ Within two hour of getting to the hospital, she delivered.
  • 💉 No complications.
  • 🩺 No cesarean section.
  • 🙌🏽 No emergency drugs or procedures.
  • 👶🏽 A healthy baby boy came forth easily and quickly.

Her name is: Oluwadarasimi Erioluwa
Meaning: “The Lord has been good to me — Testimony of God's heritage.”

🌃 Returning Home: Night Drive, Night Grace

When it was time to return home after delivery:

  • It was already nighttime
  • I was tired, my wife was nursing, and the baby was small
  • But the same God who helped me drive out
gave me peace and strength to drive back in

📍At the hospital, a kind man even helped me reverse when I was unsure.
That moment reminded me: “God sends help at every turn.”

✨ What God Did That Day

Need God’s Provision
A car before labor Toyota Corolla 2000, 11 days before birth
A capable driver Taught and strengthened just in time
Safe delivery Smooth birth within an hour, no complications
Financial burden of hospital Minimal expense — no emergency procedures
Peace at night Calm return trip, even for a first-time night driver

“This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.”
Psalms 118:23

🎁 Part 4: A Double Blessing and Lasting Gratitude

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.”
Psalms 103:2

When we look back, we see not just one miracle, but two divine gifts that arrived almost simultaneously — both of which we had waited for in faith.

✨ Double Blessing from Heaven

Gift Date God’s Timing
🚗 Vehicle 11 days before delivery Just when we needed it most
👶🏽 Baby girl Around 29th March Smooth, quick, safe delivery

We had prayed, waited, and faced delays, but God showed that:

  • He does not forget.
  • He answers on time, not necessarily our time.
  • He gives not just what we ask, but what glorifies Him the most.

🙌🏽 Our Gratitude Runs Deep

Here are some things we thank God for:

📝 What Could Have Happened

  • No means to rush to hospital
  • Delay leading to emergency surgery
  • High expenses
  • Long labor
  • Still learning to drive — could have led to accident
  • Vehicle disappointment

💎 What God Did Instead

  • Car arrived just in time
  • Delivery was quick and peaceful
  • No cesarean or complication
  • I successfully drove first time on road
  • We returned home safely, even at night
  • Baby was healthy, beautiful, and full of grace

We named her Oluwadarasimi Erioluwa, a living testimony of divine favor.

“Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works… they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee...”
Psalms 40:5

📣 To Anyone Waiting on God…

If you’re reading this and trusting God for a breakthrough — be it a car, child, job, healing, or help in a tight situation — don’t give up.

Here’s what we learned:

✝️ Truths to Hold On To:

  • God sees the full picture — we only see a part.
  • Delays don’t mean denial — they often prepare you for more.
  • He answers in ways that will strengthen your testimony.
  • What feels impossible today will be your miracle memory tomorrow.

“Faithful is He who has promised…”
Hebrews 10:23

🛐 Final Note: All Glory to Jesus

Everything we have shared is not by luck or chance, but purely by the grace of Jesus Christ.
He alone:

  • Made provision
  • Ordered our steps
  • Gave us courage
  • Brought us help
  • Delivered our baby
  • Gave us a car
  • Taught us to trust

To Him be all the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

✅ Conclusion: God’s Perfect Provision

“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:19

Looking back, we clearly see God’s hand at work — not just in what He gave us, but in how and when He gave it.

We didn’t just receive a car and a baby — we received:

  • A reminder that God listens to every whispered prayer.
  • A testimony that Christ is always on time.
  • A revelation that God does not bless halfway — He perfects all things that concern His children (Psalms 138:8).

🔑 What Made It “Perfect Provision”?

Need God’s Response
Transport before labor A reliable Toyota Corolla 2000 provided just in time
Safe childbirth Quick, complication-free delivery
Lack of driving experience Wisdom, helpers, and courage to drive successfully
Financial constraint Affordable car, minimal hospital costs
Uncertainty & fear Peace, assurance, and grace-filled timing

Every obstacle became an altar.
Every delay became a testimony.
Every fear gave way to faith — and every step proved that Christ is more than enough.

✨ Final Words

"Jesus is still writing testimonies for those who trust Him."

Our story is proof that:

  • God sees ahead and prepares for us.
  • He doesn’t always answer early — but He always answers on time.
  • When He provides, it is perfect, complete, and full of grace.

Let this testimony encourage you to trust God — not just for what you need, but for how He’ll bring it.
He doesn’t just supply — He surpasses.
He doesn’t just rescue — He rebuilds hope.

To Jesus Christ — our Source, Savior, and Shepherd — be all the glory.
