Texts: Isaiah 6:8; Luke 10:25–37
God’s call still rings out: “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” (Isaiah 6:8). Isaiah answered, “Here am I, send me.” Today, God is still calling us to serve, reminding us: “The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few.” (Luke 10:2).
Jesus answered this through the parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25–37). True love crosses tribal, cultural, and religious boundaries. The command is clear: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew 22:39).
On a busy road, a motorcycle rider had a serious accident. Many passersby ignored him, but a small trader stopped, carried him into her vehicle, and rushed him to the hospital. She became a true neighbor, not because of background, but because of compassion.
Lesson: A neighbor is not just someone from your tribe, religion, or circle—but anyone in need.
A teacher noticed an elderly woman struggling daily to fetch water. Despite mockery, he helped her carry water each morning. Over time, this kindness opened her heart to listen to the gospel message.
Lesson: Mission begins with small acts of love.
Jesus said: “Go home to your friends, and tell them how great things the Lord has done for you.” (Mark 5:19). John reminds us: “Let us not love in word only, but in deed and in truth.” (1 John 3:18).
A student noticed his classmate often came to school hungry. Quietly, he began buying food for him. This simple act of kindness gave the classmate hope and eventually led him to join a youth fellowship.
Lesson: Mission is not far away—it begins in our homes, schools, and workplaces.
God is still asking: “Whom shall I send?” (Isaiah 6:8). Jesus says: “As the Father has sent me, even so send I you.” (John 20:21). Every act of service we give, He counts as done to Him (Matthew 25:40).
During a neighborhood fire, a tailor rushed to help rescue children. Later, he gave the family clothes to wear after they lost everything. The family said, “If you had not answered, we would have lost all hope.”
Lesson: God’s call often comes as a small prompting. Answer quickly.
Mission is not theory—it is practical love in action. Jesus calls us: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16). May our response be: “Here am I, Lord. Send me.” (Isaiah 6:8).
