On August 17, 2025, Jet Li shared on his Douyin (Chinese TikTok) account that he had undergone surgery to remove a benign tumor. In his post, he humorously referred to his condition as a "hardware problem" and reassured fans not to worry. Later updates showed him recovering well, including enjoying a bowl of knife-cut noodles after his discharge.
