Testimony: I am Thanking God who Helped Us Develop a Modern Real-Time Biometric Face Recognition Attendance System

I want to share my testimony of how God turned a challenging project into a success story. An organization contacted me to develop a real-time biometric attendance system. They needed a reliable solution that could record staff attendance accurately, generate performance reports, and run as a Progressive Web Application (PWA). After initial research, I suggested using the ZKTeco ZK4500 fingerprint scanner for the system.

I informed them clearly that this would be a trial-and-error implementation since we had never worked with that device before. Still, research suggested that the fingerprint scanner could be integrated with a real-time attendance web application. Trusting this, the organization purchased the scanner.

Unfortunately, the scanner came with an outdated .dll library tied to its .exe setup file, making it impossible to separate and use directly with our web project. When the organization requested the finished system, we had no working solution. This was a heavy moment — but instead of giving up, we prayed earnestly for God’s guidance.

The Lord answered our prayers. We discovered a new way forward by implementing QR code check-in and a biometric face recognition system (face_api). These features worked seamlessly and were even more modern and effective for real-time attendance tracking.

In the end, God helped us deliver not just a functional tool but a modern, top-notch real-time biometric attendance system. The solution included face recognition, QR code attendance, real-time reporting, and performance analytics — all in a progressive web app environment. What started as a failed fingerprint project became a testimony of answered prayer and divine direction.

I thank the Lord for His faithfulness. From beginning to end, we relied on prayer, and He gave us wisdom, ideas, and breakthroughs. Today, the organization enjoys a reliable attendance software solution that is modern, accurate, and built to last. Truly, God still answers prayers, even in the world of technology.

 

This experience strengthened my faith, improved my professional skills, and showed me that when we pray and trust God, even in technology projects, He makes a way where there seems to be none.
