Church in India Needs Your Prayers

India is a land of vibrant culture, ancient heritage, and deep spiritual hunger. It is also a place where millions have never heard the name of Jesus — and where following Him can come at a great cost.

Across many regions of India, especially in the north and central states, Christians face increasing challenges:

House churches are raided, and pastors are arrested — accused of “forced conversions” even when sharing the gospel peacefully.

Anti-conversion laws in over a dozen states are used to criminalize faith-sharing and intimidate believers.

Entire families who come to Christ may face rejection, job loss, threats, or even violence from their own communities.

In some villages, believers are denied access to water, land, or rations because of their faith.

Young believers are often watched, interrogated, or shamed for attending Christian gatherings.

Yet in the midst of all this — the Church in India is growing.

From house to house, hearts are turning to Jesus. Miracles are happening. The Word is spreading. The gospel is not chained.

 “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” — John 1:5

🌾 Why Should We Pray?

Because they are part of us.

 “If one member suffers, all suffer together…” — 1 Corinthians 12:26

These are our brothers and sisters. Many of them have no legal protection, no building to meet in, no resources — only a deep love for Christ and one another.

Let’s stand with them — in prayer, in love, and in Spirit.

You don’t need to know all their names. God does.

Many Christians in India meet in house churches, often in secret, due to hostility or lack of freedom.

In several states, anti-conversion laws are used to target peaceful worshippers.

Pastors and believers have been harassed, attacked, and falsely accused, simply for sharing the hope of the gospel.

May the Lord Strengthen the house churches, pastors, evangelists, and believers who serve You in quiet faithfulness.

May God presence surround every home where Your name is worshipped.

Protect Your people from violence, false accusations, and fear.

Encourage weary hearts with the comfort of the Holy Spirit.

Let the light of Christ shine in dark places.

Raise up leaders full of grace, courage, and truth.

We pray for revival in India — that many will come to know Jesus as Savior and Lord, and that the Church will be unshaken, built on the Rock.
