Why Epifia and Christians Should Pray — Pastoral and Scriptural Reasons

As believers, we are called to pray for justice, healing, and the salvation of all individuals involved in this tragic incident. The lenient sentence handed to Sibusiso Zitha raises concerns about the value placed on women's lives and the effectiveness of the justice system in addressing gender-based violence. Scripture teaches us to seek justice and to pray for those who govern, that they may act with wisdom and integrity. (1 Timothy 2:1–2; Micah 6:8)

Lord, we also pray for Sibusiso Zitha, that You would convict his heart and lead him to true repentance. May he seek Your forgiveness and strive to live a life that honors You.

We pray for all those affected by this tragedy, that they may find healing and hope in You. May this incident serve as a catalyst for change, leading to a society that values and protects the lives of women.

Finally, we pray for our nation, that justice may prevail and that all individuals may be held accountable for their actions. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” — Micah 6:8
