Life doesn’t always unfold the way we expect. Sometimes, we pray, we believe, and we still face deep trials(Isaiah 43:2) that test the very core of our faith. But through it all, God remains faithful. My name is Esther, and this is my testimony of how God carried me through one of the most difficult seasons of my life—a season marked by the loss of a pregnancy, severe illness, and overwhelming uncertainty.

What seemed like a never-ending struggle turned out to be a journey filled with miracles, healing, and the undeniable presence of God. From the heartbreak of miscarriage to the challenges of a second, high-risk pregnancy, and even postpartum sickness, I found strength in the One who never fails.

I’m sharing this not just to testify, but to encourage every woman, every family, and every believer going through hard times—especially those dealing with pregnancy-related challenges. God still answers prayers. He still heals. And He still shows up when all hope seems lost.

Preventive Prayer and Divine Preparation (Isaiah 65:24)

Sometimes, God begins preparing the miracle before the trial even arrives. That’s exactly what happened to me.

About two years ago, during a special program, I felt a strong leading to pray—not just ordinary prayer, but a cry from deep within. I asked God to bless me in advance, even before I knew what I would face.

I had no idea then what lay ahead, but God heard me.

🙏 A Prayer That God Answered Ahead of Time

My Prayer God’s Response
“Lord, release strength to me from beginning to m this season.” He gave me grace and strength for the journey of motherhood that was coming.
“Go ahead of me into the future.” God began aligning events—even before I knew I would need His help.
“Don’t let me do caeserea section  for baby delivery.” He made my deliveryto be natural delivery.

🔍 Looking Back, I See God Was Already Working

When I later experienced a miscarriage, the loss was painful and unexpected. Yet in that moment, I remembered my prayer. It wasn’t just an emotional moment—it was a divine setup. God had already begun preparing me spiritually for the trial ahead.

Jesus said,

“In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33 (NIV)

This early season of prayer was part of God's way of anchoring me—not to avoid the storm, but to endure it with Him.

🔑 Key Takeaway

🌱 God sometimes answers our prayers by giving us strength for the journey ahead—not by removing the journey itself.

So if you ever feel led to pray, even when everything seems fine—don’t ignore it. You never know what your spirit is preparing for.

💔 The Pain of Miscarriage and God’s Comfort

"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit."
Psalms 34:18 (ESV)

After the prayerful season and prophetic expectation, I entered a new chapter—a pregnancy that ended in loss.

It was difficult. Emotionally. Physically. Spiritually.

I had looked forward to the joy of motherhood, but instead, I found myself grieving something I never held in my arms. For a moment, it felt like everything stopped—the joy, the hope, and the excitement.

Yet in that valley of grief, God came close.

🕊️ God's Presence in the Midst of Loss

Though I miscarried, I didn’t miscarry alone.
Jesus, the Man of Sorrows, who understands our pain, was with me.

My Pain Christ’s Comfort
Grieving the loss of a child I never met He reminded me: “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” (Matthew 5:4)
Questioning “Why me?” His peace whispered: “My thoughts are not your thoughts...” (Isaiah 55:8–9)
Feeling discouraged and empty His Word became my anchor: “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5)

🌈  A Second Chance — Conceiving Again After Loss

"Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning."
Psalms 30:5 (KJV)

After loss, I didn’t think joy would return so soon.
But God is a Redeemer. He not only comforts—we saw earlier—but He also restores.

Sometime after the miscarriage, I conceived again. And though it was a time of celebration, it also came with great fear, uncertainty, and physical suffering.

Yet the same God who saw me through the loss was now walking with me through the promise.

🌱 The Promise of New Life

This pregnancy was a second chance, but not just to carry a child—it was a chance to trust God deeper. To walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).

But the journey wasn’t easy. In fact, it was one of the hardest seasons of my life.

🤰🏾 A Pregnancy Marked by Pain and God’s Power

Trimester Challenge I Faced How God Sustained Me
First Trimester Severe vomiting and total loss of appetite; I couldn’t eat and was physically weak. “He gives strength to the weary…” — Isaiah 40:29
Second Trimester Expected relief, but instead fell terribly ill. Could not walk, needed help even to use the restroom. Hospitalized for 5 days. “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Cor 12:9
Third Trimester Continued sickness, fear of complications during labor, mental and physical exhaustion. “Even though I walk through the valley… I will fear no evil, for You are with me.” — Ps 23:4

There were moments I thought, "Will I survive this?"
But God's answer was always the same: “Yes, because I am with you.”

🙌 The Faithfulness of God in the Midst of Pain

Every moment I was admitted to an hospital, every time I needed help to move… every time I cried from pain or fear…

I saw the hand of God.

“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles.”
Psalms 34:17 (NIV)

👶🏽  Labor, Delivery, and God’s Protective Hand

"Before she was in labor she gave birth; before her pain came upon her she delivered a son. Who has heard such a thing?"
Isaiah 66:7–8 (ESV)

As the due date approached, a new battle began—not in the body, but in the mind and spirit.

Despite all the suffering I had endured, the fear of labor lingered in my heart. I worried that something might still go wrong. After such a tough pregnancy, my mind was filled with what ifs.

But I continued to pray.

And God gave peace.

🙏 From Fear to Faith in the Delivery Room

Labor is not just a physical experience—it is spiritual warfare and a faith journey.
I chose to shift my focus from the pain to God's presence.

Here’s what I clung to:

My Fear God’s Word
“Will I survive this?” “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” — Psalms 118:17
“Will the baby be okay?” “He will perfect that which concerns me.” — Psalms 138:8
“Can I make it through labor?” “When I am weak, then I am strong.” — 2 Corinthians 12:10

In my weakness, God showed Himself strong.

🌟 The Miracle of Safe Delivery

Though the pregnancy had been stormy, the delivery was divinely guided.

  • God was there in the hospital room.
  • He was with the medical staff.
  • He strengthened my body and guarded the life of my child.

It wasn’t just the birth of a baby; it was the birth of a testimony.
I saw firsthand that God finishes what He starts (Philippians 1:6).

🙌 God Doesn’t Just Start Miracles — He Completes Them

From conception…
Through the valley of miscarriage…
Through nine months of sickness…
To the moment I heard the cry of my baby...

God proved that:

“Faithful is He who has promised, who also will do it.”
1 Thessalonians 5:24

💡 Encouragement for Mothers in Waiting

To the woman who is expecting but afraid,
To the mother-to-be who has faced loss or trauma,
To anyone who fears labor or complications…

Remember this:

🕊️ God is the Midwife of Heaven
He who forms the child in your womb (Psalms 139:13) will also guide that child out in His perfect time.

🛡️ Jesus is Your Shield
He covers you with His hand. He silences fear and replaces it with strength.

🏁 The Author is Also the Finisher
What He starts in you, He will bring to completion—with glory.

🙌🏽  Thanksgiving and Lessons for Other Women

“Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His mercy endures forever.”
Psalms 107:1 (NKJV)

Looking back, I stand in awe of the faithfulness of Jesus.

  • From loss to restoration
  • From sickness to strength
  • From fear to faith
  • From tears of pain to tears of joy

God carried me through every valley.
He sustained me in every weakness.
He performed His Word just as He promised.

I owe Him all the praise.
