“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.” — Psalms 34:19

I give all glory and thanksgiving to the Lord for His mercy toward my family. What we experienced around the turn of the 2026 New Year was a season of intense challenge, where multiple trials unfolded at the same time. Yet, by God’s grace, it has ended as a testimony. All glory be to the Lord.

The Beginning of the Trial

It began in late December 2025 when one of our children became ill. For over two weeks, there was loss of appetite and recurring fever—often severe at night but appearing normal during the day. As the days passed and the condition lingered, our concern deepened, and we continually lifted our child before the Lord, trusting Him as our Healer.

While this illness was still ongoing, another challenge arose. At the very start of the New Year, our younger child, still an infant at the time, also fell ill. For several days there was persistent fever, and one evening the situation suddenly escalated in a frightening way that lasted only a short moment. This occurred while we were already battling sickness in the home, and it drove us to cry out earnestly to God for divine intervention.

Compounding Challenges

As these health challenges were unfolding, we were also facing a serious logistical difficulty. Just days before the New Year, our only vehicle had been taken to a mechanic’s workshop for what should have been a routine repair. Instead, the process became prolonged and stressful, keeping the car unavailable for weeks and resulting in unexpected damage and financial strain.

Because the car was unavailable during this critical period, we were unable to rely on it to move around as needed. In the midst of overlapping illness and uncertainty, we depended on alternative transportation, committing the safety and wellbeing of our children entirely into God’s hands.

A New Year Begun in Prayer

The year 2026 did not begin with celebration as it had in previous years. Instead, it began with intense prayer, deep reliance on God, and complete dependence on Him for healing and provision.

God Answered

By God’s mercy, the younger child recovered fully within days, and the older child was completely healed shortly after. Today, both children are healthy, active, and free from illness. The vehicle issues were eventually resolved, and this season of sickness, stress, and financial pressure has passed.

Our Testimony

This experience reminded us that God is present in the storm, attentive to the cries of His children, and faithful to bring resolution in His perfect timing. God heals.

Blessed be the name of the Lord, the God who sees, hears, and answers.
We lift our hearts in praise to the One who stood with us in the storm and did not abandon us in the night of trouble.

When weakness surrounded us and fear knocked at our door, the Lord was our refuge.
When our strength failed, His power prevailed.
When the way seemed uncertain, His mercy made a path where none appeared.

The Lord restored health, and turned our mourning into joy.
He preserved life, brought peace where there was distress, and gave us rest after a season of trials.
What began in tears has ended in thanksgiving, and what looked overwhelming has become a testimony of grace.

We praise the Lord who heals, who provides, and who reigns above every circumstance.
He is compassionate, and mighty on our behalf.
His mercy endures forever, and His goodness cannot be denied.

To the Lord alone belong glory, honor, and praise—
    now and forevermore.
    Amen.
