Why We Must Pray

As Christians, we are called to pray for those in need, especially during times of sickness or hardship. In James 5:13–16, we are reminded of the power of prayer in times of suffering: 'Is anyone among you suffering? Let them pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up.' Let us lift Lionel Richie and his loved ones up in prayer, asking for God's healing, comfort, and peace during this challenging time.
