Prayer Request — Eric Anderson (Former Greater Grace Pastor): For Truth, Healing, and Salvation
Latest developments: In mid-2025, an 80-year-old former pastor of Greater Grace World Outreach—formerly known as The Bible Speaks—Eric Anderson, was indicted by a Berkshire County (Massachusetts) grand jury on two counts of indecent assault and battery of a child, alleged to have occurred in 1980 . He was later arrested in Florida in late August and is currently fighting extradition back to Massachusetts to face these longstanding charges.
Background: Anderson once led the megachurch’s Bible college and was a trusted pastor. After decades of allegations, grassroots survivor-led research (notably by the group “The Millstones”) unearthed survivor testimonies of sexual abuse tied to him and other church leaders from the 1980s and 1990s . Survivors described grooming, abuse, and a culture that suppressed reporting. Legal consequences have begun to emerge only recently, even though cover-up claims span decades.
Why We Are Bringing This Before the Lord
- For survivors: Many carried wounds—emotional, spiritual, and psychological—for decades. Pray for healing, restoration, and the loving embrace of Christ. (Psalms 147:3)
- For truth and justice: Pray the legal proceedings are fair, that justice prevails, and that lasting protection is established for all children. (Micah 6:8; Psalms 82:3–4)
- For reckoning and repentance: If wrongdoing is confirmed, pray for true repentance and accountability—not hidden excuses or minimized harm. (2 Corinthians 5:10; Proverbs 28:13)
- For the accused (Eric Anderson): Pray that God’s conviction leads him—not just to face earthly justice—but to encounter Christ. Our deepest longing is that even he might surrender to the Savior’s love and find redemption. (Romans 10:9–10; Ezekiel 18:23)
- For the church community: Pray for transparency, healing, and renewed commitment to safeguarding children and supporting survivors. May this painful season yield humility, reform, and true discipleship. (James 1:27; Ephesians 4:22–24)
- For investigators and leaders: Pray for integrity, wisdom, and compassion among law enforcement, church leaders, and counselors involved in this case. (Proverbs 2:6–9; 1 Timothy 2:2)

O God, in Your great mercy, reveal Christ’s love to Eric. We pray that he might turn from darkness to light, confess Jesus as Lord, and receive new life. Let this moment lead not only to earthly consequences but to eternal hope. (Romans 10:9–10; 2 Corinthians 5:17)
